As a software engineer with 10+ years of expertise in the aerospace, robotics and tech. My areas of expertise include autonomous vehicles, robotics, and simulation infrastracture.
At Jet Propulsin Labs, I led the test software development and automated testing for the Perserverance rover actuators; bridging flight software with flight hardware and verifying systems requirements in ambient and thermal conditions. My software sped testing by orders of magnitude, what took a few weeks to test and characterize, now can be accomplished in one day. My work at JPL honed my skills in software development, system integration, and automated testing.
Motiv Robotics
As a senior software engineer at Motiv Robotics, I led and managed the software team, interfaced with customers, and provided technical direction for the development of RoboMantis, a high-power quadrupedal robot for teleoperation. I developed obstacle avoidance algorithms and integrated VSLAM, localization, and traction control for optimal performance. I also architected the deployment, test and simulation infrastructure. I developed an extensive experience in ROS and open source robotics from this project.
Motiv Robotics, I also served as a project engineer, leading and managing the software team and directing technical efforts for the development of RoboMantis, demonstrating my ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver innovative solutions.
Amazon Scout
At Scout, I led the development of the Hardware-in-Loop Simulator, designed onboard navigation features, and integrated 3rd party lidar and software. I also built a data offloading application and developed autonomy metrics and data processing scripts to streamline development efforts.
honed my experience with robotics at scale, incorporating aws to enhance data collection, algorithm development and test.
Amazon Kuiper
At Kuiper I work on developing the simulation software for satellite dynamics physics and endpoint emulation. This role combines my expertise in aerospace and robotics at scale. This is my current adventure that I'm pursuing.
MDA US
As a Mechatronics Engineer at MDA US, I led the system integration and fabrication of a 7-axis robotic arm using existing commercial parts, which allowed MDA to have its first in-house robotics arm for R&D at an affordable price. I also developed a LabVIEW real-time software suite for robotic arms for motor control, sensor reading, and inverse kinematic motion. Additionally, I was responsible for the system design, integration, and development of a NASA AMES contract for building a 4-axis arm for their prototype Mars Rover.
work at MDA honed my skills in system integration, LabVIEW software development, and automated testing using NI products.
